I would like input as how to estimate the time required to create or modify spreadsheets. (no VBA)

I work from home and charge by the project and am tired of pulling all-nighters to complete a project on time.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Hi, Joanne.

This question is truly impossible to answer.

The amount of time it takes will *greatly* vary according to:
1) size/complexity of workbook
2) your experience
3) your pace of work

Even if you were to lay out all of the details for the project and someone on the board were to tell you how long it would take him/her to build/modify the model, #'s 2 and 3 above prevent that from being a useful estimate for you.

I hate to Use a line from Star Trek, but here's what Scotty would say. If you think it's going to take an hour, tell the captain it'll take 3. That way you look like a miracle worker when you got it done so fast.

Thanks for your input.

It gives me something to consider.

I know just enough to be dangerous, thats why I stick to small projects.
