Hi everyone.

I have an Access database which contains the following:

Name
Address
Email Address
# of Units sold

The above information has been formatted into a report template.

Is there a way that I can take this report template and send each report page individually to the associated email address for the record?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Let me try and explain what I hope can be done...

I've created a data base which contains dealer ID, rep ID, address, #of units sold and dealer email address.

I've created a report template that when I run, looks something like this...

Page 1

Dealer ID = 12345
Dealer Name = Joe Reseller

Sales Rep ID #of Units Sold
-------------- ----------------
123 5
456 10
789 2

Total Units Sold = 17

Page 2

Dealer ID = 54321
Dealer Name = Bob Reseller

Sales Rep ID #of Units Sold
-------------- ----------------
246 5
135 10
678 10

Total Units Sold = 25

What I was hoping that can be done, is have access look at the email address associated with the dealer ID and send individual reports as Microsoft Word attachments. So for example, page 1 report would be sent as a word document attachment to Joe Reseller and page 2 would be sent to Bob reseller as an attachment as well.

If anyone could please let me know if this can be done, that would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi, there is a command available via a macro to send a report as an e-mail attachment. However, this is a case of the blind leading the blind given I have never used it. The macro command SendObject is explained by MS here.

Although I'm not sure how you could modify this to send one page of the report to one recipient and the next page to another (although that's not to say it can't be done). You might find some of the more experienced users will come back online after the weekend.

Andrew. :)

Perhaps something to do with the title?

I, and maybe others, thought you may be setting up some sort of spam mailing.

You may have a point there...but please rest assure, this is being used to communicate monthly reports to my clients dealers.

Thank you.

Check out the Access Archon section at http://www.helenfeddema.com She has a number of articles that may cover what you need. Does quite a lot of stuff with making the Office applications interact using VBA.

Thanks SydneyGeek, I checked-out the link but this talks about how to import/export Outlook contact info into Access.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Thank you.
