How to disable auto-save during editing?

When I am editing a posting or response, the input is auto-saved periodically.

How can I disable that feature?

It gets in the way of editing, at least when I use the Firefox brower. A "auto- save" notification is superimposed over the editor scroll bar, which delays my ability to scroll.

I do not see any value in the auto-save. Although these is a "restore auto-saved content" button in this sub-forum ("About This Board"), I do not see that button when I am editing a comment in the "Excel Questions" sub-forum. Regardless, it is not a feature I would rely on.

The button does appear in the "Quick Reply" editor, but not in the "Go Advanced" editor. I mostly use the latter. Regardless, again, it is not a feature I would rely on.
