You can use the TRIM function for that.

=TRIM(Then I selected the cell)

and it did not delete any spaces...

Oops, I wasn't thinking it's not trim but susbstitute & sub the spaces for ""

=SUBSTITUTE(B2," ","")


B2 represents the selected cell
