How to delete a row if cell begins with...

This is my first post so i apologize if i leave something out.

In Excel 2003, in VBA, im trying to right code that will delete the entire row if a paticular cell in that row begins with "PCH". I already have the Macro recorded so i want to enter the code into the macro manually.

For example, I have approx 10,000 rows and 8 columns of data and and in column B, i have a string of 8 characters (all combo's of letters and numbers). If any cell in column B begins with the letters "PCH", i want the entire row to be deleted.

End result, i want a total average of the numbers in column F but i do not want to include the numbers which come from the "PCH" in column B. (in the example below, i want to exclude the "1" in cell F6.

Does your data have a header row? If so, this bit of code may be faster than a loop, given the number of rows you have (test the two against each other):

With Range("A1:H1")
  .AutoFilter

ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Offset(1, 0).Resize(ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Rows.Count - 1).Rows.Delete
