Hey there,

I was hoping someone could help me find a shortcut for cutting the parentheses value from a row of cells. The cells in my row each have a percentage and confidence interval value in parentheses and I would like to cut out the confidence interval. I have about sixty columns to work with, so I'd like to be able to copy a formula across a row.

Ex: I'd like to take "29% (6%-7%)" and take out the "(6%-7%)" without having to individually cutting each value out.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jane

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Thanks for replying, VoG.

I just tried that formula, but that leaves me with the parentheses only "(6%-7%)", instead of the "29%."

Further tips?

Hit CTRL+F, search for "(" without the quotes and leave the replace field empty. Do it again for the ")".
