Hello everybody!

It's nice to be back on the MrExcel forum :)

I am currently managing a list that essentially looks like this (just a lot bigger):

I would like to create a pivot table and a slicer for this (the real file is over 1000 cells) so it becomes much easier to look up specific cases!

Does anybody have some nice experience with this? I have never ever in my entire life created a pivot table or a slicer in Excel before, but I have been told that it's a nice way to create an easy overview of your data :)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you everybody :)

Best regards,
Jyggalag

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
There are lots of examples on YouTube
I tried looking online and on youtube as well.

They make it seem very simply. Just go to insert --> slicer and boom you got it.

However, when I do that I get this error :(

You need to create the pivot table first, then the slicer.
