Hi! I am trying to create a geographic heat map for Australian states. This will record Australia's population according to state: VIC, NSW, WA, SA, TAS, QLD, ACT, NT.
Similar to the attached picture, I would like to create a 2D map, with the total population number visible on the exact state location. Is this possible on Excel without using VBA or macros?
Thanks for your help!

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You should be able to to that with minimal issue if you convert your column with your locations to the Geography Data Type, and then thow it onto a map. The advantage of the Geography Data Type is you can automatically pull in a bunch of different fields based on your location, one of which is population.
