How to create Bubble Charts from Pivot Tables - Excel does not allow

Hi,

Is there a way to create a bubble chart from a pivot table? The rows include names of opportunities, and I want to include the bubbles to represent Profit size of these opportunities (large profit size = large bubble) along a time horizon (horizons 1, 2 and 3). The Y axis would represent the profit size series ($) and the X axis would represent the time horizon (1, 2 or 3). Pretty simple model, but I keep getting an error message when I try to create the bubble chart from my pivot table.

In the alternative, I could create a separate sheet to just house (by dynamic link to other worksheet cells) the data I want to bubble graph on, but that seems a little clumsy. Would that be my only option?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
