Hello,
Looking for a method to create violin and/or bean plots in Excel from a data array with one column of an independent variable value set (e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20, etc) in regular spacing, and two columns of dependent variable values (e.g. 20, 58, 100, 253, 4, etc)

After a search led to this site: Creating a BeanPlot in Excel | Chandoo.org Excel Forums - Become Awesome in Excel I downloaded the spreadsheet linked in the first reply (Vilon%20Plot_Trail.xlsx) but it's a kernel density plot, and apparently requires symmetrical spacing from zero between the dependent var sets at each interval of the indep set.

So, something more true to a violin plot is sought Split violin plots | (R news & tutorials)

Any help's greatly appreciated

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
you could choose to scale your column by a same amount to produce the shape, but frankly unless the data left and right are similar!!!
