hello everyone
i am working on an INVENTORY database. i want to search specific record or keyword via a search option
e.g.
i have an "ITEMOUT" table with some fields.
1. ITEMNAME
2. ITEMTYPE
3.ITEMSIZE
4.ORDERS
now i want to search a order number

If you use an activeX textbox, then you can filter the column with code, autofilter as you type.

The code would be located in the sheet module
VBA Code:
Private Sub TextBox1_Change()
    Dim S As String
    S = TextBox1
    Range("A1").AutoFilter Field:=2, Criteria1:="*" & S & "*", Operator:=xlAnd
End Sub

Dave,
That looks like an Excel solution.
