I have 2 columns of data, one with a product description and the other with Keywords that apply to that product.

Currently, the Keyword contains words that are also found in the Product Description. I need to create a new Keyword column that excludes those words. I don't want any whole words found in Product Description to be included in the new Keyword column. Can anyone help? The words are separated by 1 space.

Thank you!

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Example:
Product Description: Right-handed office scissors
Keyword: Right-handed office scissors knives cutters
New Keyword: knives cutters

words are not case sensitive

Ok. The reason I was asking was that IF the maximum number was reasonably small - say 4 or 5 as in post #2 - then you could manage this with a fairly straightforward formula using standard Excel text analysis functions.

But if the maximum possible number of keywords is much larger, then this approach becomes - not impossible - but extremely clunky quite rapidly.

There is probably a VBA solution to this but personally I'm not a VBA expert.

Anyone else out there want to pick this one up ?
