hi all. curious what the best method for comparing two sheets of data.

essentially, i want to see which data in Sheet A turns up in Sheet B.

there are 3 columns (A,B,C) of data with matching parameters in both sheets that i would want to make sure align.

is an index/match formula the best to use in this instance? anything else? i tried conditional formatting and that didn't seem to work.

thanks all!

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
One way is to concatenate each row in column D on both sheets, for example, in sheet A, in cell D2
= A2 & B2 & C2
and copy this formula down to the end of your data.

The same on sheet B.

Now, on sheet A in cell E2, you put this formula:

=MATCH(D2,SheetB!D:D,0)

And copy down.
