A newbie in VBA. I tried the below code but it didn't work.

Sub clearcontents()
thissheet.Range("a1:b2", "a5:b6", "a9:b10", "d4").clearcontents
End Sub

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
thissheet.Range("a1:b2,a5:b6,a9:b10,d4").ClearContents

(assuming thissheet is a valid Worksheet reference? Did you mean ActiveSheet?)
