How to change from Custom to Number format

Hi,
Cell A3 has the current time in it using the Now () function. Because Excel is connected via an Add In to an online server this updates every 2 seconds. Cell B3 has the start time formatted hh:mm:ss AM. I have managed to catch the elapsed time in minutes in Cell F3 using =MOD((A3-B3),1) and then formatting the cell to a Custom format [m]. So if the current time is 4:00:00 PM and the start time is 8:00:00 AM I get 480 minutes.

The challenge I am facing is that I would like to format the Custom format [m] 480 minutes to a Number format of 480 in another cell. At the moment I get 0.33 because of the way Excel reads time.

Please will someone show me how to do this.
