This is a quick HOW TO post:
To change the shape of a comment in Excel 2003 one simply makes the drawing toolbar visible, selects/edits the comment and from the drawing toolbar clicks the DRAW button and picks Change Autoshape > from the popup.
However, under 2007 one no longer has the drawing toolbar and the “drawing tools” tab does not appear when one selects/edits the comment’s shape. So how do ya change the comment's bloody shape?
Thanks to Tracy (starl) I now know at least one way:

Thanks to Tracy (starl) I now know at least one way:
- Customize the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) [there are several possible ways; here are two]
- Right-click and pick Customize… from the popup
- office button > excel options > customize
- Drawing Tools | Format Tab (or All Commands) in the left dropdown list.
- Add the Edit Shape> button to the QAT.
- return to sheet, select comment box shape…
