how to built a prediction sport betting model with excel?

what i need is to insert the soccer data,and after using formulas like poisson.distr. to give possibilities for certain outcomes

I don't know a whole lot about this topic, but I would imagine that you would have an easier time using Python and some machine learning or neural networks to do these kind of predictions because of all the libraries that are available, rather than trying to do it from scratch using Excel.

but excel already has built in the poison distribution formula
and the data are available in xls files

you think python would be easier?
