Hi All,
I have a VBA code in my Excel file but when I open the file, the "enable macro" button ask me to press it. If I set the low macrpo security in my Excel file I avoid the problem but I don't accept this solution because I whis to send my file to e new user where your Excel file has a security level medium, for exaample.

Is there a solution to disable this effect and enable automatically the macro?

Many thanks in advance for your kind help.

Giovanni

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
You can get a code-signing certficate from VeriSign or other provider, and sign the VBA project. When users first receive a workbook with a signed project from you, your certificate is validated (they must be online the first time) and they are prompted whether to enable macros. If they enable them, they are further prompted as to whether they should always trust you as a publisher. If they say yes, they will never have to do it again.

You can also use the SelfCert.

Search the forum for
Security Certificate

You'll find some threads on it.

The short anser is NO, you cannot make a macro auto run regardless of the user's security settings. That would defeat the purpose of the security settings.

Basically using a certificate allows each user the option to "Trust" all macros with your certificate attached to it.
But they still must at one point or another make the concious choice to allow your macros to run the first time.
After they accept that certificate, than future macros with your certificate will be allowed.

Hope that helps

Add the location where you loaded the file from to your trusted locations.
