Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
You need to get to the Excel Options dialog. In Excel 2010 and later, access from the File menu, select Options, then Formulas. There's a checkbox in the Error Checking section, called Enable background error checking, which should be checked. Clear the checkbox, and click OK. The green error triangles will disappear. By the way, you can also change the color of the error triangles by clicking the Indicate Errors Using This Color checkbox.

In Excel 2007, it's the same procedure, except that the Excel Options dialog is accessed from the Office button (the circular orb at the the extreme left of the menu bar).

You can do what I do. Turn off all the error notification features. On the Options page just un-check all of the check-boxes.
