Hello everyone
So I want to autofill in a certain way. I want to fill the data in this way. first I press = sign then go into a sheet and select B3 so my formula comes out to be (=sheet!B3) right. Then I do it again and select B8 then I do it again and select B13 now I want to drag this vertically so that it selects B17. As you can see B is constant and there is 5 cell gap right, but if I drag it to take data C3 and not B8.

So, is there any way that if I drag the autofill in a certain way like if I drag B3 then the next cell it should select should be B8 is there any way plz help

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Welcome to the MrExcel board!

I want to drag this vertically ..

You have not said where these formulas go. Suppose the first formula is in cell D3 then use this formula in D3 and then drag it down.

Excel Formula:
=INDEX(sheet!B:B,ROWS(D$3:D3)*5-2)
