How to Add ONLY Certain Amounts in a Column

Is there a way of adding together only 35 cells from a column that have the highest amounts in the entire column?
My column D has values from 0 to 100,000. There are over 100 values (cells) in all. I want to add together the "top 35" cells.

try this out

=SUM(LARGE(D:D,{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35}))

It is an array formula so remember to do CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER when entering the formula

Named Ranges
Name	Refers To	Cells
rSer	=ROW(!$1:$35)

Edit the range to a reasonable number of rows.

If it is possible that rows will be inserted, use the named range or edit the row part.

You can shorten that a bit like this

=SUM(LARGE(D:D,ROW(1:35)))

And make it not require CSE entry buy changing SUM to SUMPRODUCT (it's still an array formula, just doesn't require CSE)
