Hi,
I tried ungrouping my data and then inserting the calculated item. Which worked.

However, when i try to group the data back in terms of monthly figures, it does not allow that.

Could you kindly guide and advise a way to add a calculated item and still have data grouped month wise rather than showing daily date figures.

Thank you

Hi,

Below is a screenshot of my pivot table data and format.

The columns of the dates have been grouped. If i ungroup them, they go to daily date level and am able to insert the calculated item in that case.

However, when I want to try and group the calculated item it doesnot allow that.

Could you please help me to add a calculated item on my pivot and group my dates.

I cannot insert the calculated item in the raw data as it would not be possible for the ledger to calculate these figures on daily movements.

Would appreciate all your assistance. Thank you

You'd have to add either the month column or the calculated item in the source data. You can't have both in the pivot table.
