How much RAM?

I am running Excel 2007 on Windows 7 and have 3 Gig of RAM.

I am manipulating data in lengthy downloads, say 100,000 rows and 15 columns in order to get it into a user friendly format. I am using auto-filters, VLOOKUP, various arithmetic formulas, etc.
I have to do the Copy/Paste commands in smaller buckets of say, 15,000 rows, then repeating the Copy command several times. I sometimes get the message "The command you are trying to...is too complex...." if I try to Copy/Paste too many rows at a time.

Will more RAM help this or is it an Excel limitation? If more RAM will help, approximately how much would you recommend?

Thank you very much.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Excel I think will use to you limit, and also any disk space it can grab

if you turn off your calculations (application.calculate = xlmanual) until you have done all your data pastes, and then turn it back on, you should only be recalculating once, rather than 15,000, then 30,000, then 45,000, to 100,000 rows
