How much data is too much...?

Hello,

I am currently contemplating the creation of a Power View sheet using an Access file that I could create housing some 3,000+ PC techs information such as name, location, certifications, etc. and tying it all together. Anyone know how long it would take excel to load something like this and if I could potentially be facing lag issues?

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
To load 3,000 rows from Access to Excel Power Pivot will take 10 seconds. Once it is loaded, there is no lag as the data is loaded and doesn't rely on the connection
