Hi I found this tutorial very https://www.mrexcel.com/excel-tips/how-many-kits-available/ helpful.

It has solved my issue to some extent. I am trying to create a stock and inventory management sheet. We sell one main kit and then an add on kit which comes in 8 different types. There are a few components which occur in both the main kit and the add on.

The components are required in multiple kits (9 to be exact) in different quantities. I wondered if there is a way to solve for this so that an optimal qty of each complete kit can be calculated.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Probably but you need some rules. So what is this for? Is it to provide to a customer as a current stock feed for example? Or is it just for internal use? You need to give it reason why it picks kit A to get the last component and not kit B. What is that rule? What is it that you consider optimal and more importantly why?
