Sorry if a thread on this has already been started for I can't seem to find it...

How do I turn HTML on/off for a particular forum? I seem to be able to use HTML in my posts in the most of the forums, with the exception of the Technical Excel issues forum and this one and I can't find the toggle.

Hi Greg,

You don't. But, try it now.

Yup, workie-workie in dat forum now. Tanks a bunchie-bunch.

Still no workie-workie in dis forum though... :(

Apparently we're not doing HTML in this forum or Technical Excel Issues.

Is there a reason why we should?

I'm just more adept at using HTML for things like superscripting/subscripting and ordered/unordered lists. I just tend to type the <ol type=i><li>do this first</li><li>do this second</li></ol> stuff as I write the post.

As for in general? I don't know how many times HTML maker would be needed in these two forums.

May I ask the reverse -- what's the argument against HTML in any of the forums?

security risk

I'm new to the forum. Been trying to enable HTML but can't seem to find a way;
Greg, an you please help?

Thanks
Us "normal" users cannot change the setting. It is set forth by the board admins and there are certain parts of the board that have html disabled as started per Starl, for security reasons.

If you are in any section of the board or replying to a message there is a box in the lower left hand corner of the page that tells you what all is enabled and what is disabled.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I found a section with html enabled and it worked!
