How do you lock out users in Excel App - 1CEnt

I recently downloaded a finance application for Excel. It is amazing... I did not know Excel could do some of these things... For instance, it has an unlock key window that pops up when you first open it. i could not find a way around this (I bought the key for only $1 from them, so no big deal...and it is a pretty good program for people who don't want anything fancy and complicated). Somehow they managed to make it so I could not even get into the program with macros disabled... The program itself is pretty much a simple check register. could not even copy a page to play with outside of it. Does anyone have any idea how this is done? I would love to be able to write my own applications... the program i found that does this is at 1ceware.webs.com. It is called 1CEnt. I can email a copy of it if anyone is interested in looking at it.

You probably got a COM Add-In, not an Excel workbook.

Do some looking on MSDN and general web searches and you'll find a lot (look for "Excel COM Add-in" specifically).
