Hello,

I know how to disable the Form's Close Button, But How do you Disable the Microsoft Database Close Button (i.e. to stop people closing the database via the close button) ???

Many Thanks

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
What's wrong with them closing the database like that?

Because they need to close the database via a Command button, so it can run certain functions before closing the database.

any idaes ??

Well you can sort of disable the button by setting the PopUp and Modal properties of a form to Yes.

Why not try doing that with the form the button is on?

To really disable it, ie grey it out, would require using the Windows API I think.

Can't you open a hidden form on Database startup and then throw code into the on_close event for it? (whatever it is you wish to run)
