Hi,

Is there a way to set custom Cell attributes in an Excel spreadsheet and have those attributes reflected in an XML version of the spreadsheet.

For example:

I have a spreadsheet where I want to associate the following attributes with particular data cells:

* Date period when data collected
* Name of data

With a view to

(1) Saving the workbook as XML
(2) Parsing the resultant XML and retrieving the associated "meta data" about each cell via an Access module that is designed to construct "Spreadsheet Importation definitions", used for importing data from a specific workbook into Access.

I hope I have explained this clearly enough :)

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
I think you may want to post this question in the Excel forum. This is the Access forum on this site.
