I am new to the board. However I have relied on this board to get me through alot of different problems. I did search but cannot find any about my question.
I would like to take an existing worksheet done in excel and somehow capture the entire screen including the the reference letters going across and numbers going done.
Then save it as a Jepg.
I want to do this so I can post the screen shots on this forum to other questions I can't solve.
It would be so much easier if I could show pictures.
Any help would be great!

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Why not use the PrintScreen button and then paste into a graphics app?

You should then be able to save as a jpeg and post here.

Remember though you'll need to store the image somewhere on the web.

Nothing will happen.

Push the button, open something like Paint, or even Word, and goto Edit>Paste.

OH! I got it now! Don't you just hate helping rookies. Thank you very much!
I will work on my real question after I get the pictures up.
Thanks again!

Hi, Jason,

posting Jpeg-examples is generally not the best way to proceed
1. your link on the web will not be there forever: so later on the sample could be lost
2. potential helpers can not copy the data into Excel

therefore use Colo's HTML Maker utility for displaying your Excel Worksheet on the board

On the "Excel Questions" main page there is a link to HTML Maker FAQ. You'll find out how to post correctly.
On the main page of the Forum there is a link to a Test here forum and a link to About this Board - to ask questions about HTLMMaker ...

you can also display an example with some tricks
in the VBEditorwindow you can setup a sample and then display it here as "code"
(but let me insist on using the htmlmaker at all cost)

example
Code:
' A B C D
'1 bjk yui yui yui
'2 456 789664 4616 744661

kind regards,
Erik
