How do I remove embedded objects?

I did a folish thing and added some pdf-files as embedded objects into an Excel file (Insert, Object, From file). The file size grow out of proportions. I have since removed the links (icons) to the embedded files, but the file size is as large as ever, so I guess the objects are still there somewhere. How do I find and delete them from my Excel file. The Excel file is rather complex with 20 sheets and many macros etc, so I would not like to copy all sheets individually, change all formulas, etc. PLEASE advise a novise user on this matter someone!

I have allready tried that - but it did not make any difference. Thank you anyway!
