How do I permit, but LIMIT, nearly concurrent edits of a multi-user shared spreadsheet?

Greetings. This is my first post, so please be kind (and helpful). :)

I have an "anyone can edit" shared spreadsheet to allow a user query. Only 2 cells in the entire spreadsheet are unprotected to do that query. The problem is solving any problem of multiple users concurrently doing queries with different query criteria in those two cells.

I am afraid the display will dynamically update for every concurrent user, but unable to stress-test the design before time-sensitive imminent wide distribution to about 400 users of the "anyone can edit" share link.

Is this a non-issue or is there a way to prevent one user changing what the other user sees 2 seconds later?
