I have this Excel file I created back in 2003 with various macros but I can't find the method of opening the actual macro file XLSM !
I am using 2010 version and would appreciate guidance on how to open it. I do have the developer tab in my ribbon.

thanks
Ron

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Do you mean how to look at the code? If so, click the Visual Basic button on the Developer tab to open the editor.

If it was created with 2003 then the extension will be .xls not .xlsm

In that case there won't be an .xlsm file, just an .xls file.

I have two identical files, one is XLS Excel 97-2003 Worksheet and the other XLSM Macro-enabled worksheet and both react to the the Visual Basic button on the Developer tab

So I am sorted now.
