Hi

I have this formula in a cell that calculates a difference but what im trying to do is if the calculation does not put a value in I need it to input the value of 0.00. Any ideas?

=IF(E16>E17,E16-E17,"")

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
How about just changing the formula:
=IF(E16>E17,E16-E17,0)
and format to show two decimals.

If both E16 and E17 always contain numeric entries, you could also use this formula instead:
=MAX(E16-E17,0)
