How do I find & replace a special character? Specifically '

How do I find the ' mark (the key just to the left of the enter key on the keyboard and just to the right of the ; key) and replace it with nothing? I have multiple (several hundred thousand rows worth) rows with cells that contain nothing but the ' mark which means I'm having trouble finding the blank cells, because technically none of the cells are blank because they have the ' mark within them.

Just as an FYI - what I'm ultimately attempting to do is make my data table (which is not a pivot table) repeat all item labels, but I'm having trouble doing it because I cannot push F5 on my keyboard and find the blank cells.

Any help is much appreciated!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Highlight the range, column or cells.

Press Ctrl and H together. In the popo up box type ' where it says replace what and leave with what blank.

now you can press Replace to make sure it works properly and when your're happy press replace all.

test it first don't just do it. Maybe save a copy of such a large file before risking it.

You should note it will replace all ' with blank even those in formlas so be careful how you do the highlighting.
