I have searched fruitlessly for an answer, have tried literally everything that has been suggested, but cannot seem to get OLAP Tools to make themselves available.

My general understanding is that these require importing an external data source, adding it to the Data Model, and creating a pivot table. I have a dataset that I created, then I imported it in via Get Data > From Excel Workbook, select the workbook, select the table I'm interested in, press Load To..., select PivotTable Report on new worksheet while checking the Add this data to the Data Model checkbox. Finally, I click on the Pivot table, select PivotTable Analyze and navigate to OLAP Tools. The only item that has ever and seemingly will ever be available to me is Convert to Formulas.

If anyone knows better what I need to do, please let me know.

Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I haven't used it but I believe that to use the other options in the OLAP Tools menu your pivot table would need to be built using an OLAP cube datasource most notable "SQL Server Analysis Services"

To create a Calculated Measure in Excel

  1. Create a PivotTable report or a PivotChart report using data stored in an Analysis Services cube.
  2. On the Analyze tab, in the Calculations group, choose OLAP Tools > MDX Calculated Measure. The New Calculated Measure dialog box opens
