How do I approach this?

Hi all,

I’m having some difficulties as to how I should approach this issue. I’m confident with VLOOKUP, COUNTIF etc but just don’t know what combination to use to solve this problem.

I want to be able to calculate the number of ‘Yes’ values that appear in column B that relate to the region in column K. I want have a live update of the completions (yes/no) by each of the regions. Hence, when a 'Yes' is selected in Column B for the East Region the cell O2 will populate with a '1'

Thanks a lot.

How about a Pivot Table using count for the Yes / No
Otherwise, try looking at SUMPRODUCT

How about a countifs
=COUNTIFS(B:B,"Yes",K:K,O$3)
