I want to split a cell into two columns - without adding a column (since I have other sensitive data that will not allow me to add a column). Is there any way to split a cell into two cells/columns?

Thanks

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
Text to columns (at least the way I know how to use it) either replaces the cell to the right, or just divides the data highlighted. I want to add an extra columns to the left of my data without pushing it off to the right. Does that make any sense?

Example:

Column A has the number 1 in it and I want to insert a column/cell to the left of column 1 so that Column A now has an empty cell on the left half and the number 1 in the right half. I want to be able to paste data into the right half of the cell without any formulas.

does this clarify?

It is not possible in any way to have 2 cells in the same row of 1 column, or a cell not in a column.

The only thing that might work is a label or similar from the form control toolbox.
