How can I sort a PivotTable using a custom list in VBA?

I am looking to write a code in VBA such that it will let me sort a pivottable according to a customized list. Thanks so much.

What VBA code does the macro recorder give you if you do it manually?

I don't even know how to record this. I have to manually go in a select the items in the list.

Turn on the macro recorder. In your pivot table click the field dropdown and choose 'More Sort Options'. Check Ascending or Descending and choose 'More Options'. Uncheck 'Sort automatically every time the report is updated', select your custom list in the 'First key sort order' list and press OK twice. Turn off the macro recorder and examine the VBA code.
