How can I permanantly remove data from a Pivot Table?

Hi,

Can anyone help me as in how to delete data from a pivot table in Excel? I'm creating the pivot table from an Access data table and have tried refreshing the pivot table in Excel using an empty Access table however the pivot table keeps the "history" data.

For example, if one of my columns in the pivot table is Product Description, if i click on the drop down for that column all of the historical data remains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I received this macro from Juan Pablo a while back. I have it in a module, and periodically run it to clear out the 'ghost' or phantom data.
After it is run, save the file.

I also found some other macros when I did a search, but this one worked the best for me.

Why don't you simply re-create the PivotTable?
