How can I make a table read only

I have a database which contains 1 linked table from another access database, this is going to be part of several queries but I do not want my users to be able to change anything in it. i.e. I want to use it purely read only with users unable to amend records, delete them or add new ones.

I suspect that with out implementing full user security you cant do it.
Next best thing is probably to create a query on the table and in the queries properties set the Record Set type to "Snapshot" and base all of your subsequent queries on this master one. you can then set the original table to Hidden
Database savy users will still be able to get in and change things but it will stop most users.

I think i've got it working.

I just went into users and groups and changed permissions just for that table so the 2 users "user" and "admin" only have read permissions.

That seems to have worked I am unable to change anything in the table which is what I wanted.
