interest, and I need to put in a formula that will calculate the interest based on whether the date in Column B is a leap year formula


For example, this is the formula for Column F Row 8 of the calculation:


=ROUND(SUM((H7*(I8/100))*(C8/365)),2)

What I need to do is somehow make this formula so that if the date contained in Cell B Row 8 falls within a leap year then then the above formula will divide C8 by 366 instead of the above 365 - if not a leap year, then the above formula remains.


Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the help. I have updated the spreadsheet and used Richards formula, as when I tried pasting the other formula into the spreadsheet it didn't seem to work

One other question for you, right now if I want to add additional dates to the spreadsheet, I need to highlight the next row down, insert row(s), then highlight the row above, and the inserted row(s), then fill down.

Can anyone suggest a way to automate this so I would not have to do this every time, when I want to add additional rows to the spreadsheet.

I'm not sure what I have explained has come across clearly, so I've uploaded a copy of the spreadsheet at:
