Programming for the most part in any language is fundamentaly the same. Excel comes with a pretty handy HELP FILE for the VBA and to help you along with syntax and methods etc you can always record a macro then view the VBA code it generates.

If you already know VB, you're half way there! I would recommend picking up a good book to learn a lot of the Excel nuances, though. I like "Excel 2000 VBA" from Wrox Press Ltd. Then use this site for specific questions!
