How can compare two different date/month in pivot table

Hi
i have the invoice dates in B colum. they are from two different year. i want to make a pivot table/ report who can compare these two different dates or months from different years from colum B and show me the grand total of the price which is in colum I.
i try to make a pivot table but with that table there is the problem that he is comparing two same months or date but not the different one.
Can any one tell me how to compare them plz

Your post is little hard to understand for me (and could be why no one has posted any answers), but if you are just looking to view the information between those dates you can use the autofilter to just display those dates.

Highlight your all your data, select Data -> Filter -> Autofilter.

Go to the column that has the dates you want to filter and click the drop down, choose "Custom", and enter in your criteria, e.g. "Greater than or equal to: 10/02/2005" and "Less than or equal to: 02/03/2005".

any way that was the a bit of the answer i was looking for thanx for this.
but as i tried to explain i have to make a pivot table who can compare two different months can you help me plz

You make your pivot table on the entire table of data. You then use the autofilter method that I explained above and your pivot table's data will automatically update/filter also. If you are looking to compare entire months, you will want to insert a new column that lists the month. Sorry, still not sure that I'm getting what you need.

here is the data . these all data is in pivot table and as you can see i can not get the turnover from different months.but he is showing the turn over form same months.
All i want is that this pivot table should enable to compare to different months and show me the turn over as his result.

Can You help me how to do it.
