How ca I rotate a chart?

Hi,

I'm working on Excel 2010 and I'd like to rotate a chart by 90 degrees. What sort of chart are you talking about? As far as I know you can rotate the starting place of the first slice in a pie but otherwise they show as per MS design

Of course if you want to rotate a Column chart 90 degrees then you have a Bar chart!

It's a column chart which I want to show horizontally. I created a benchmark chart using multiples series and error bars but it works best if shown horizontally. I have tried to do the same using a bar chart but the error bars don’t seem to work in the same way and I don’t gate the result I want. That’s why I’m trying to rotate the column chart.

hmm, I can turn one of my columns into a bar and it works fine, I don't use error bars but if i turn them on they look ok too.

Can you post more details of what you mean by the error bars don't seem to work in the same way? maybe a picture of how they look both ways or somthing.

You can rotate a chart, but first it must become an object.

If you highlight the cells around your chart, then use the CAMERA tool, you can make a picture of your chart.

Then you can rotate the picture.

However, you may lose some definition from your picture as the resolution may be less than the original.
