Hello all!

Almost all Gantt charts I see online are for kind of long term projects, as every column is a date.
Is it possible to have an hourly Gantt chart for a working day (for instance, from 9 AM until 10 PM)?

And also, can I have multiple tasks in one row?
Let's say there's four team members, and they need to so about 10 tasks on a day. Could the tasks be displayed per team member?

Hi, welcome to the board.

Yes.
If you've ever constructed a Gantt chart for a longer time period, and if you understand how Excel deals with time and day values, then you should be able to work out how to do this.
Post back with specific questions if you need more help.

And also, can I have multiple tasks in one row?
It depends what you mean, and how you are creating your chart.
For example, if you are using the Excel chart function, perhaps using a horizontal stacked bar format, then it IS possible if none of the bars are over-lapping, but it can be fiddly.
Same applies if you are creating the Gantt chart using the actual worksheet cells, which is also possible, but again, multiple bars on a single row may get fiddly.

It might be best for all concerned - both you when setting this up, and users when trying to read it - if you try and avoid multiple lines per row.

Yes, you can have an hourly schedule.

Yes, you can have multiple tasks in one row; they don't even have to be contiguous. But, if you have ten different tasks that you want to make distinct, the chart easily becomes difficult to read. Any chart with ten series is difficult for me to read.

I prefer to use conditionally formatted cells for Gantt charts: https://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel...s-what-i-want-do-post5042234.html#post5042234

The example is just to show that hourly divisions can be done.
