Hosting a Macro in a single workbook and using it on other workbooks

Hello,

I have a general question on what the best approach is for accomplishing what I want to do. I have searched for awhile on Google and haven't found much.

I currently have a fairly large macro that I have saved in a workbook (lets call it Book1). I want to put some code in this macro that will open the file explorer, allow me to pick a different workbook (Book2) and then the macro would process the data in Book2. To clarify, Book1 has no data, it only has the macro. The end goal would be the ability to share Book1 with a co-worker and they could hit a command button in Book1 and the select any other workbooks on their computer that they want to run the macro over.

Sorry if it is confusing, but I am hitting a bunch of dead ends.
