Hi Everyone,

This is my first post and hoping you can help with my query.
I am looking to set up a pro holiday calculator for my team as everything is done manually and more at risk of making errors. The purpose of the calculator is to determine the pro rata entitlement of an employee if they decide to change their working pattern.

Employee FTE is determined by hours worked / standard working week i.e. 35 or 37

Example
Member of staff is looking to change hours from 21 to 28

- Set up a calculation to determine the number of days worked in the current and new working pattern i.e. employee
started on 13/09/21 and has worked 91 days of 21 hours - changing hours to 28 on 13/12/21
- Employee FTE x Annual Entitlement (7 x number of hours) = Hours x Days worked in current pattern (i.e. 91 days) = Days (1)

New Hours
- Employee FTE x Annual Entitlement = New Hours x Remaining days in New Pattern from calculation above / 365 = Days (2)

Finally Days (1) + Days (2) = Final number of Holidays

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks so much,

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
@hayles831 , welcome to the Mr. Excel forum.
Mr. Excel has a tool called xl2bb add in (link below) that allows you to post mini worksheets from your workbooks.
It would be great if you could post what your data and calculations look like, as well as some expected results.

Thanks in advance.
