This is odd:

RE: Windows Explorer

When I open that star button
[*] i.e., the "Favorites Center" and click on "History" the history is there for yesterday and all the days and previous two weeks or so, but nothing is being saved for today's activity.

I'm sure I've accidentally clicked on some button somewhere somehow, but I don't know where it is. I've looked under "Tools" - "Internet Options" - "general" - "Browsing History” But I'm not seeing anything that looks like it will restore the function.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Steve Case

Well there've been 20 some odd views and no comments, I assume because no one knows what would cause the history to disappear. And it is slowly disappearing. Nothing has been added since last week.

Well some sleuthing found this:

nirsoft.net

Date: 25/03/2009

Version: 1.40

Description:

The 'View All Subfolders' option is now automatically selected by default.

The settings of IEHistoryView are now saved into ini file instead of the Registry.

When selecting a profile and the history folder name is in non-English language, IEHistoryView will try to locate the right history folder of the profile according to the history folder name of the current user.

The date my problem started is the date Version 1.40 downloaded into my machine. Post Hoc reasoning?

Whatever the reason, I've got no recent history of where I've been, so when I want to go back to some site I was at yesterday, I haven't a clue how to find it. History WAS great for that sort of thing.
