I can not remember the "name" of this feature to look it up in the book. I've got a bunch of gas receipts that I'm auditing and I want to highlight purchases on weekends and outside of work hours. What formula can i use to quickly highlight these kinds of purchases?

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to copy an example.... but i have a spreadsheet that has dates/times of all purchases (among other things) and want to "heat map" things outside of work hours - i'm going to now consult my Power Excel book for heat mapping while I eagerly await someones help.

Thanks in Advance!

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Welcome to the Board!

I think you are looking for "Conditional Formatting".

thanks - I had an old username - but couldn't reset the password since it was associated with my prior employer's email. That said, I appreciate the assistance!

Have a great day - there is nothing under "heat mapping" in the Power Excel - but i'm consulting Conditional formatting now. Have a great day and thanks again!

This worked great - for looking at TIMES outside of business hours - i'm having a difficult time doing the same with days of the week? (identifying weekends)
